Welcome to BarCode1, your one source for bar code information. BarCode 1 is an Adams Communications World Wide Web publication and has been running since November 1, 1994.

Here you get unbiased information much like you find in a magazine. We don't sell any bar code products. We offer information about bar code free of charge.

Your Webmaster is Russ Adams, owner of Adams Communications. Russ has been Editor-in-Chief of ID Systems Magazine and Technical Editor of Automatic ID News, and has worked in the industry since 1983. If you you're looking for an answer to a specific question, first check our Quick Tour FAQ page and FAQ page. If you can't find the answer to your question, take a second look at both the Quick Tour FAQ and the FAQ pages to be sure you did not overlook the answer. At least 80% of the email I receive asks questions that are part of the FAQ's. If you still can't find an answer, you can send Russ Adams an e-mail.
